
National
Music Professor graduated from the National Conservatory in 1973 and Musical
Arts graduate (IUNA). He studied Harmony with Erwin Leuchter and Choral
Conduction with Antonio Russo at the Juan José Castro Conservatory. He
obtained a scholarship from the French government, to specialize himself in
Renassaince Choral Music between 1976 and 1979. He studied with Jean-Michel
Vaccaro and under his guidance he obtained the degree of Doctor in
Musicology at the F. Rabelais University of Tours in 1979. He returned that
year to Argentina and reinserted himself in the musical environment of
Buenos Aires, conducting choirs and chamber ensambles.He is currently conductor of the Coro Nacional de Jóvenes and the Grupo Coral Divertimento (GCD, symphonic). He is Senior Lecturer for Choir Conduction, Choral Stylistics and Choral Arrangements Compositions at the IUNA (Buenos Aires Arts University Institute) and the National University of Rosario. He conducts courses and choral workshops on a regular basis and is also frequently invited to conduct choirs in Argentina and abroad, specially in France, Spain, Brazil and Chile. He is author of more than 80 choral arrangements, 10 of which have been awarded in diverse
contests: Nacional 1985, Municipal 1987, Eistedfood 1993, Ars Nova de
Rosario 2000 y Fondo Nacional de las Artes 2007. He was named Honorary Membership to CAMU, Consejo Argentino de la Musica (Music Council of Argentina), in 1998 and in 1999 he won the "New Talents of the 1989-1999 Decade" Konex Award in Choir Conduction. He was recently given the Choir Conductor of the 1999-2009 decade Konex Award.
